Frances Spurrier writes and reviews poetry. Frances achieved a distinction in the MFA in Creative Writing from Kingston University in 2012 where she also taught Creative Writing. She is currently a PhD candidate at Roehampton University writing on the theory of poetics. Frances grew up in South Wales but now lives in London with her family. She is Reviews Editor for the popular poetry website, Write out Loud.
In her own work she experiments in the margins of memory, landscape and spirituality. Her poems and critical essays have appeared in print journals including Tears in the Fence, South, HQ, 14, Staple and Reach as well as online at Nthposition and Eyewear. Several of her poems have been anthologized in Reaching Out (Cinnamon Press, 2013) and The Poet’s Quest for God (Eyewear Publishing, 2014). The Pilgrim Trail is her first collection from Cinnamon Press in 2014.
