We travelled back to Chichester University last week to launch Emma-Jane Hughes's debut collection The Mechanics of Love and Donna Kirstein's pamphlet Borderlands.

We met both authors through a pitching session organised by the University two years ago. Originally, we were going to take only one book — Emma-Jane's — but Donna's impressed us so much, we had to take her work for our then-new imprint, Liquorice Fish Books.

The launch was hosted by Chichester academic and poet, Dave Swann, who chaired a fascinating Q&A session after the main readings.

A great evening — a big thank you to our host, Karen Stevens, Dave Swann, Chichester University, and big well done to Emma-Jane and Donna.
